Job Description

This role focuses on preparing accurate estimates for commercial re-roofing projects using drone imagery and specialized estimating software. You will analyze existing roof conditions, calculate the cost of roof removal and replacement, and help ensure projects are scoped correctly, competitively priced, and aligned with client expectations.

Responsibilities

+ Review and interpret drone photographs and related documentation of existing commercial roofs to assess current conditions and project scope.

+ Estimate the removal of existing commercial roofing systems, including labor, materials, and disposal requirements.

+ Prepare detailed cost estimates for new commercial roofing installations, with a focus on re-roof projects.

+ Select and quantify appropriate roofing materials, with particular emphasis on single-ply systems such as TPO, PVC, and EPDM.

+ Use Edge estimating software to develop accurate, itemized estimates and proposals.

+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements and ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.

+ Update and revise estimates as needed based on new information, design changes, or client feedback.

+ Maintain organized records of estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentation for future reference and project tracking.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience in commercial roofing estimation, with a focus on re-roof projects.

+ Proficiency with Edge estimating software.

+ Hands-on knowledge of commercial roofing systems and materials, particularly single-ply membranes including TPO, PVC, and EPDM.

+ Ability to interpret and analyze drone imagery and other visual documentation of roof systems.

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing cost estimates.

+ Solid understanding of labor, material, and equipment cost components for commercial roofing projects.

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working with drone-based roof assessments or similar visual inspection tools.

+ Familiarity with industry best practices and standards for commercial roofing and re-roof projects.

+ Strong communication skills to explain estimates and project assumptions to internal stakeholders.

+ Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible schedule and is open to remote or hybrid work arrangements, allowing you to complete estimating tasks using Edge software and digital drone imagery from a professional home office or a company office setting. The role is primarily computer-based, with a focus on reviewing digital images, performing takeoffs, and preparing detailed estimates. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Galena, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Receive 2 weeks of PTO after 90 days with firm. 401k match up to 3%. Profit sharing after 1 year of service. Flexible Schedule. Open to remote/hybrid.
