Role Description The Concrete Worker role is a full-time, on-site position located in Kalida, OH. This role involves preparing, placing, finishing, and curing concrete for a variety of residential and commercial projects, including flatwork, foundations, and structural elements. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and stripping formwork, assisting with ready mix concrete deliveries, operating or supporting heavy equipment as needed, and performing basic carpentry related to concrete construction.
The Concrete Worker will follow project plans and safety guidelines, work closely with supervisors and crew members, and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Occasional travel to job sites within the Greater Putnam County area is required.
Qualifications
- Concrete construction skills, including experience with flatwork and handling ready mix concrete.
- Formwork skills, such as setting, bracing, and stripping forms for foundations, slabs, and other structures.
- Ability to work with or around heavy equipment used in excavation and concrete placement.
- Basic carpentry skills related to concrete projects, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Understanding of construction safety practices and willingness to follow company and regulatory guidelines.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
- Previous experience in concrete work or general construction is preferred; vocational training or certifications in construction trades are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to job sites in the Greater Putnam County area.
