Mechanical Superintendent

This position will lead field construction activities and supervise mechanical trades, coordinate contractors, and oversee equipment startup and commissioning while driving safety, quality, schedule, and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical construction, equipment startup, and commissioning activities
  • Direct craft labor and trade contractors, including plumbing, sheet metal, electrical, and other MEP trades
  • Determine construction methods, workforce requirements, material quantities, equipment needs, temporary power, and work schedules
  • Coordinate work between trades, contractors, engineering, material control, purchasing, quality control, and project teams
  • Monitor field progress, productivity, manpower, schedule, and construction interfaces
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality requirements
  • Identify and resolve field construction issues, including productivity challenges and trade coordination conflicts
  • Enforce project safety requirements and ensure corrective actions are implemented when needed
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction supervisory experience on large commercial or industrial projects
  • Strong mechanical construction background; data center experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with equipment startup, commissioning, MEP systems, and trade coordination
  • Experience supervising large craft work forces and multiple contractors
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, safety, quality, and field execution
  • Experience supporting large commercial or industrial projects valued at $50M+
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
