MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor of Music with an emphasis on General Music
* Holds and maintains required state department of education credentials.
* Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
* Effective communication, problem-solving and time management skills.
* Embodies high ethical standards/integrity. Accepts responsibility for personal decisions/conduct.
* Varies instructional techniques to effectively advance student learning.
* Evaluates student achievement/performance.
* Willing to participate in adjudicated events.
* Positive cooperation with parent groups.
* Demonstrate exceptional musical aptitude.
* Functional musical keyboarding skills.
* Ability to organize and host concerts and musical performances.
DESIRABLE
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Familiar with and capable of utilizing computer applications to enhance instruction.
* Proficient in voice and in piano, guitar, and/or recorder/ukelele.
* Certification or be willing to get certified within 3 years in a Music approach (Orff, Kodaly, Dalcroze)
