EA-NGP VAN Product Writer I
The EA-NGP VAN Product Writer I creates and maintains clear, concise, and accurate end-user content for NGP VAN products. As an early-career technical content contributor, this role supports the writing and editing of product help documentation, release notes, and customer-facing instructional resources. This role collaborates closely with product, support, and enablement teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with union client use cases and brand voice.
Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and publish basic help center content and release notes.
- Work from internal specifications, SME interviews, and product testing to translate features into written guidance.
- Contribute to templates and voice consistency in documentation.
- Perform light HTML or CMS formatting as needed.
- Capture and annotate screenshots.
- Participate in documentation review cycles and incorporate feedback.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Ability to write clearly and concisely for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong command of grammar, editing, and usage.
- Familiarity with digital organizing tools or CRMs is preferred.
- Comfort with working in multiple systems (Jira, Confluence, Word Press, LLM-style applications, etc.).
- Capacity to manage deadlines and accept feedback constructively.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in writing, editing, or documentation support.
- Experience with help centers, customer support content, or SaaS product writing.
- Exposure to union clients or political campaign environments highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field (preferred).
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by CWA Local 1400, 2336 or 13000.
