Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status.
- Assist with dental procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
- Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines for medical imaging while adhering to safety standards.
- Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery within general dentistry practices.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional licensing boards.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Familiarity with infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently within a four-handed dentistry setup.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively and foster a welcoming environment.
