Draughtsman Apprentice: 3D CAD & Building Drafting

A good imagination is essential if buildings are to be created digitally – and this is exactly where draughtsmen/ draughtswomen are right in the thick of it:
Based on architects’ design sketches and civil engineers’ specifications, you create precise, true-to-scale plans and construction documents for buildings and infrastructure projects.

• You will learn to create drafts and designs as well as construction and execution drawings according to the specifications of architects and civil engineers.
• You will help to create construction documents in 3D using the latest CAD software.
• You will learn how to calculate building material requirements, parts lists and measurements – so that construction can actually take place.
• Successful completion of the intermediate school-leaving certificate or higher
• Good grades in German and the natural sciences
• Ability to work accurately and neatly
• Distinct spatial imagination
• enjoy working with computer technology
