Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Eligible or Board Certified Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Physicians for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Bellevue, Ohio. This assignment offers the opportunity to practice broad-spectrum community emergency medicine in a well-supported critical access hospital with predictable patient volumes, flexible scheduling, and an experienced physician and APP team.

Schedule

Flexible scheduling with both daytime and overnight opportunities.

Typical shifts include:

  • Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Approximately 12 shifts per month

Scheduling is designed to provide continuity while supporting long-term departmental coverage.

Clinical Scope

Provide comprehensive emergency medicine services including:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Trauma stabilization
  • Pediatric emergencies
  • Orthopedic injuries
  • Procedural sedation
  • Emergency procedures
  • Hospital admissions and transfers
  • Supervision and collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers

Physicians will practice broad-spectrum emergency medicine in a community hospital environment with strong interdisciplinary support.

Department Overview

  • Approximately 15,968 annual patient visits
  • Approximately 1.7 patients per hour
  • 11-bed Emergency Department
  • Broad community emergency medicine
  • No trauma designation
  • Collaborative physician and APP coverage model

The lower patient volume allows physicians to provide thoughtful, patient-centered care while maintaining procedural proficiency.

Practice Environment

Practice within a collaborative emergency department supported by experienced clinical staff.

  • Physician and APP coverage model

  • Long-term staffing stability
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary support

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (within five years of eligibility) in one of the following:
    • Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
    • Family Medicine (ABFM)
    • Internal Medicine (ABIM/AOBIM)
  • Active Ohio medical license or ability to obtain
  • Current DEA registration
  • Minimum 1–3 years of Emergency Medicine experience
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • ATLS (AHA)
    • Emergency Medicine board-certified physicians must provide proof of prior ATLS certification at initial appointment.
    • Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians must maintain current ATLS certification.

Credentialing

  • Standard credentialing process
  • Approximately 90-day credentialing timeline
  • Facility will begin processing providers with a pending Ohio license
  • Temporary privileges are not available
