Holzer Health System in Gallipolis, Ohio is seeking a Pathologist to provide locum vacation coverage.
** Looking for a candidate within driving distance **
Practice Details:
- Interpreting Surgical and Cytology specimens daily
- Grossing of specimens (histologists perform grossing of small specimens)
- Low volume of frozen sections procedures
- Immunohistochemistry/special stains in-house
- Surgical: 30-40 cases/day divided between two Pathologists
- Specimens include: biopsies, excision, and resections, head and neck area, GI tract, GU tract, Skin, Lung, Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes, Bone and Soft Tissue
- Gynecological Cytology: 10-15 cases/day (Thin Prep);
Non-Gynecological Cytology: 5-8 cases/day - Full-time cytotechnologists employed to perform initial screening of cytology specimens
- Two full-time transcriptionists
