Urgent Care Physician

Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) is seeking an Urgent Care physician for a hospital-employed opportunity in Wheelersburg, OH. This role involves working in a facility that combines Urgent Care and Family Practice, operating seven days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM. The position offers a 2-year contract with a comprehensive benefits package and bonus incentives.

Practice Info

• Practice location at Wheelersburg Family Health Center.
• Office hours are 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM.
• Lab, x-ray, and pharmacy have the same hours of operation as the UC services.
• Family practice, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound are by scheduled appointments.
• Staffing includes 1 nurse per provider and 2 providers per day.
• Case load is approximately 30 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Move at a quick pace and adapt to unknown patient presentations.
• Confidently make quick initial assessments and treatment plans.
• Complete charts timely.
• Participate in Antibiotic Stewardship.

Compensation

• Excellent bonus incentives up to 10% of salary.
• Medical School Loan Repayment: repay up to $200,000 ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment).
• Sign on Bonus: 15% of base salary up to $100,000 (paid when contract signed and forgiven over 2-4 years).
• Residency Stipend: up to $25,000 (requires up to 2 year service commitment).

• Additional 40 hours PTO when producing 75% tile wRVUs.
• CME/Books & Journals: 40 hours PTO and up to $5,000.
• Deferred compensation: 457b plan, defer compensation up to IRS limit of $23,000 year before taxes (no matching).
• Retirement / Savings Plan: 403b plan, defer compensation up to IRS limit of $23,000 year before taxes under age 50 and $30,500 for over age 50. SOMC matches dollar for dollar up to 2% of base pay.
• Moving Expense: $10,000 paid to moving company.
• Malpractice Insurance Coverage: claims made insurance, in an amount of $2,000,000 per claim/$6,000,000 aggregate.
• Health Insurance: provider pays small premium, deducted from paycheck.
