Psychiatrist

SOMC is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join their hospital-employed psychiatric team. The provider will manage an average of 12-16 patients per day while engaging in additional expectations such as clinical case reviews and psychiatric grand rounds. • Staffing includes medical doctors, CNPs, LISW, nurses, and MOAs
• Average caseload of 12-16 patients per day
• Hospital features 248 staffed beds with a service area of 250,000
• Teaching opportunities available with medical students, residents, and advanced practitioner trainees
• Staff are eligible for Clinical Adjunct Faculty status with Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine

Compensation

• Sign on bonus: 15% of base salary up to $100,000, paid when contract signed and forgiven over 2-4 years depending on amount of bonus
• Bonus incentives up to 10% of salary
• Residency stipend of up to $25,000, requiring up to 2 year service commitment

• Malpractice insurance coverage in a claims made insurance in an amount of $1,000,000 per claim and $3,000,000 aggregate
• Health insurance with physician paying a small premium deducted from paycheck
• Medical school loan repayment of up to $200,000 ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment)

• 2-year contract
• Office hours:
  Monday - Thursday, 8:00a - 5:00p;
  Friday 8:00a - 2:00p
• Call: 1:6

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist
• 70 mile and 2 year non-compete clause or liquidated damages of one year salary
• Residency stipend requires up to 2 year service commitment
• All employment is contingent upon passing the post-offer physical examination, drug test, and criminal background investigation
