Position: Secondary School Spanish Teacher (m/f/d/x)

ISR is accredited by the German authorities as an ‘Anerkannte Internationale Ergänzungsschule’ (International Supplementary School) and by the US accrediting agency Cognia (formerly known as Advanc

ED). ISR is an IB World School authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme, and also offers Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) IGCSE courses. The school is a certified member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). We are seeking a dedicated and qualified full-time Secondary School Spanish Teacher with experience in teaching non-native Spanish (Spanish

B) to join our dynamic educational institution. The teacher will be expected to create and deliver engaging lessons that captivate students' interest and foster a deep understanding of the core concepts. This encompasses not only conveying theoretical knowledge but also applying innovative teaching methodologies to cultivate critical thinking skills and real-world applicability.

Qualifications and

Experience:
  • have a Bachelor's or Master's degree or post graduate qualification in Education.
  • have minored or majored in Spanish language education.
  • have several years of teaching experience in Spanish at an International School.
  • Have taught the Spanish Language B course in the IB Diploma Program.
  • have experience teaching Spanish at the IGCSE level.
  • have the ability to create an inspiring and motivating learning atmosphere and to maintain a trusting relationship with students, parents and colleagues.
  • have a passion for challenging students to become excited about language and literature so that they can achieve high goals.
  • have adequate knowledge of English (English is the main communication language at our school).
  • have a high level of commitment, flexibility, communication skills, team spirit, but also independent working style.
  • be interested in working in an international team.
  • be ready to engage in after school or extra‑curricular activities.
