JOB OBJECTIVE
* Provide appropriate educational instruction to students assigned
* Abide by the philosophy of district policy and rules and regulations as determined by the Board of Education and administration
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Valid Ohio teaching certificate, as defined by the State of Ohio
* Knowledge of courses of study and instructional strategies
* BCI/FBI Check
JOB LOCATION
* Building as assigned by Superintendent; classroom as assigned by Building Principal
EQUIPMENT UTILIZED
* Computers
* Projectors and other media equipment
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential
* Maintain necessary certification
* Prepare lesson plans that are consistent with adopted graded courses of study
* Implement instructional strategies as defined by course of study
* Maintain student discipline and classroom management
* Observe and communicate student progress
* Be involved in school-related functions for the benefit of students
* Attempt to meet the needs of all students
* Participate in IEP/IAT/SST/PBIS etc. meetings when appropriate
* Participate in professional development
* Perform all related duties as assigned
* Incorporated within one or more of the previously mentioned essential functions of this job description are the following essential physical requirements:
* Ability to work at a desk, conference table, or in meetings of various configurations
* Ability to stand for extended periods of time
* Ability to see for purposes of reading printed matter and observing students
* Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels
* Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversations
* Ability to bend and twist, stoop, kneel, run and crawl
* Ability to lift 50 pounds
* Ability to carry 25 pounds
* Ability to operate office/computer equipment
* Ability to reach in all directions
* Other related duties as assigned
