Hours of Work: 15 hours per week

Compensation:
Educational Associate 1 ($13.22 - $18.55) per hour - Based on years of experience in a school-based setting per OAPSE Local #367 negotiated agreement Limited Contract

Job Summary:

* Educational Associate 1's work with students by providing supervision during lunch and/or recess. Qualified candidates will provide supervision, behavior and transition support to a individuals or groups of students.

Minimum Qualifications For Educational Associate 1:

* Must obtain ODE Educational Aide Permit, First Aide and CPR Certification

* Ability to use technology to complete on-line training modules as required by District Policy and ORC

* Be able to actively engage with students in a variety of activities sitting, standing, walking

* Must possess sufficient physical ability to perform necessary lifting, lift and carry 50 lbs

Qualifications Preferred For Educational Associate 1:

* Experience working with children in an unstructured educational setting

* Understanding of behavior supports

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

* Must be able to multi-task

* Foster positive relationships and personal connections with individual students

* Actively supervise small and large groups of students during unstructured activities to include lunch and recess
