Job OverviewThe Cleveland Public Library is seeking to hire Tutors for multiple locations throughout the county to provide basic skills, academic and/or literacy support to K‑12 youth and adults in the community. These positions will be off‑site at a Cleveland Public Library branch. All sites are accessible by bus. This is the perfect job if you do not have a car as many of the branches are located in communities within a short distance to Tri‑C campuses!
Qualificationsand Responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management skills
- Teamwork skills
- Conflict/behavior management skills
- Must be reliable and have a desire to work with youth, teens, and/or adults in an urban setting
- GPA of 2.0
- Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Adhere to college’s confidentiality policy
- Successfully pass background/drug screening
- Successfully complete AAI Solutions Online Training
- Experience working with children
- Make at least a 2 semester commitment to the program
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to work with the community
- Positions are located at Cleveland Public Library located throughout the county
- Other duties as assigned
Number of Openings: (10). Offsite at the Cleveland Public Library located throughout the County.
