The Opportunity
Gilmour Academy seeks a passionate, part‑time French teacher to bring the language to life for students in grades 7–12. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, mission‑driven faculty where your expertise in French language and culture will make a real difference in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities- Teach multiple levels of French across grades 7–12
- Design engaging, student‑centered lessons that build measurable proficiency
- Integrate instructional technology to enhance language acquisition
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the broader life of the school community
- Build meaningful relationships with students and families
- Valid Ohio teaching certification
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field;
Master's degree preferred - Native or near‑native proficiency in French
- Experience teaching French at the secondary level
- Strong command of best practices in world language acquisition
- A creative, innovative approach to curriculum and pedagogy
- Enthusiasm for working within the Holy Cross tradition
