Job Description
An enthusiastic and engaging teacher is needed to launch a Grant Career Center satellite Exercise Science program at New Richmond High School. This position will deliver hands‑on, activity‑based instruction focused on health, wellness, fitness, human performance, and sports medicine concepts. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and passionate about making learning active, engaging, and meaningful while helping students explore healthy lifestyles and career opportunities in exercise science and healthcare fields.
They will foster an interactive classroom environment centered on teamwork, movement, problem‑solving, and real‑world application of fitness and wellness principles. A commitment to career technical education and experiential learning is essential. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop confidence, leadership, and foundational knowledge through meaningful, real‑world experiences that promote lifelong health and wellness.
- Valid licensure, certification, and/or registrations as required by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce or the ability to obtain one;
- Industry‑based experience in the field of exercise science;
- Effective and demonstrated problem‑solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral, and written communication, and organizational skills;
- History of strong work record, including excellent job attendance; and
- Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Grant Career Center Board Policy.
