Pay Rate: $110/Day
About the RoleDedicated School Staffing is seeking reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to support schools when full-time teachers are absent. This role ensures continuity of learning by following established lesson plans, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting students' academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment
- Provide clear instruction and support to students throughout the school day
- Adapt to various grade levels and subject areas as needed
- Take attendance and complete any required documentation
- Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other assigned duties
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid substitute teaching license or higher teaching license (as required by state regulations)
- Clean criminal background checks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to different classroom settings
- Patience, professionalism, and a student-centered mindset
- Adherence to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators
- Maybe required to complete Safe & Engaged training
- Prior teaching or childcare experience
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies
- Experience working with diverse student populations
