Milford Church of Christ – Youth Coordinator/Leader
Reporting To:
Lead Minister & Elders
The Milford Church of Christ exists to make, mature, and mobilize disciples with Jesus. We are seeking a Godly man with a passion for the next generation to serve as our Part-Time Youth Leader to lead and disciple students grades 6-12. He will provide spiritual leadership, build relationships with students and families, and create opportunities for youth to grow in their faith and connection to the church.
The Youth Leader will work in cooperation with the Lead Minister and Elders to help integrate the youth ministry into the overall mission and vision of the Milford Church of Christ.
- Youth Discipleship:
Plan and lead weekly Youth Group gatherings on Tuesday evenings; teach biblical lessons that encourage spiritual growth and Christian unity; provide spiritual encouragement and mentorship to students in grades 6-12. - Youth Activities & Events:
Plan and organize youth activities throughout the year (fellowship events, service opportunities, retreats, etc.); coordinate and supervise youth participation in church activities and community outreach; actively promote and support involvement in Round Lake Christian Camp, including summer camp and youth retreats; encourage youth involvement in the life of the church. - Relationship Building:
Build strong relationships with students and families; maintain regular communication with parents regarding youth ministry activities; create a welcoming and engaging environment where students feel valued and encouraged in their faith. - Leadership & Coordination:
Recruit and work with adult volunteers to support youth ministry activities; work with church leadership to ensure youth ministry aligns with the mission of the church.
- Previous involvement with leading a youth group is a plus.
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Alignment with the principles and doctrines of the Restoration Movement.
- A willingness to become an active member of the Milford Church of Christ.
- Ability to connect with teenagers and families.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic teaching ability and a passion for discipling young people.
- Part-Time Position. Primarily weekly responsibility is the Tuesday evening Youth Group gathering.
- Additional time for planning activities, communication, and relationship building with students.
- Compensation: $175 – $250 weekly depending upon experience.
- Two weeks of paid vacation after four months.
