Minimum Qualifications
  • Holds/maintains required Ohio Department of Education credentials.
  • Acts in accordance with the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.
  • Documents/maintains a record free of criminal violations that prohibit public school employment.
  • Embraces high-performance standards (e.g., discipline, engagement, proficiency, resilience).
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
Essential Functions
  • Develops and manages individualized learning strategies for students below district standards and documents progress.
  • Provides leadership for advancement of best practices and academic standards; implements initiatives supporting continuous improvement.
  • Participates in the Evaluation Team Report (ETR) process using inclusive assessment strategies and plans student services.
  • Participates in team meetings addressing caseload concerns.
  • Assists with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and develops Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP).
  • Encourages active family participation in intervention planning.
  • Prepares legally compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and aligns lesson plans with state standards.
  • Provides a structured learning environment and applies behavior modification, guided instruction, and peer accountability.
  • Advocates for students and promotes inclusive educational opportunities.
  • Uses formative and summative assessments to track progress; provides timely feedback.
  • Maintains records, ensures compliance with reporting deadlines, and protects confidentiality.
  • Proctors mandated testing activities and upholds test security procedures.
