Reports to:
Director of Learning Center Program
Salary Range: $43,000 - $70,000; dependent on experience and education - prorated based on number of days

- Knowledge of ODE's Social Emotional Learning Standards
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Teaching license:
Mild/Moderate
-Intervention Specialist OR Education of handicapped in areas of learning disabilities/behavior disorders (LD/BD) or emotionally-disturbed/severe behavior handicapped (ED/SBH). - Adheres to Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators
- Trained in CPI/Non-Violent Crisis Prevention-- preferred. (will provide training if needed)
- Experience in IEP writing and Data Collection
- Must be proficient at conducting FBAs and writing BIPs.
- Experience working with Emotionally Disturbed/Behaviorally Challenged Students
- Knowledge of Ohio Academic Content Standards and ability to write lesson plans that coordinate with them and that are differentiated to meet the needs of all students on caseload.
- Ability to work with a team of professionals to meet the needs of every student.
- Must have excellent attendance record.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal/written
- Prefer to have passing test score on Foundations of Reading (OAE 090)
Constructs and implements Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Plans for ED & other students in Learning Center program; conducts evaluations required to document student progress toward goals & objectives; participates in parent conferences to share information pertaining to the IEP & student progress.

- Employee shall remain free from any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the center.
- Pass BCI/FBI background checks.
