Job SummaryAn Adjunct instructor is a term-to-term appointment with responsibility to students, course material, and classroom and/or online instruction. Teaching duties include all levels of the Business curriculum for undergraduate and graduate courses.
Roles Summary- Undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners’ needs.
- Work collaboratively and innovatively with colleagues.
- Undertake teaching and learning related activities, as agreed.
- Ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared, and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
- Undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
- Contribute to the development of curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration Functional Skills development and equality and diversity.
- An MBA or master’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate studies in a Business discipline from a regionally accredited institution. Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Expertise in any of the various business management/business administration fields.
- Candidate must be an enthusiastic educator.
- The ability to work with others within a larger department on curriculum, scheduling, study abroad, and related areas is indispensable.
- Master’s Degree is required, although a terminal degree is preferred from a regionally accredited university within a Business discipline (MBA and/or DBA or Ph.D. in Business).
- 18 hours of graduate work within discipline is required.
- Professional certifications within related discipline are strongly preferred.
- Minimum two years of teaching experience in areas such as economics, finance, or other related areas.
- Minimum one year of online teaching experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in discipline area.
- Demonstrate proficiency in popular software tools and learning management systems.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
