6th Grade Math Teacher: Assumption Academy

Assumption Academy, a Catholic Preschool through Grade 8 school in Broadview Heights, Ohio, is seeking a passionate and dedicated 6th-8th Grade Math Teacher (6th Grade Homeroom) for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will foster a love of mathematics while challenging students to think critically, solve problems, and develop confidence in their mathematical abilities. The successful candidate will be committed to academic excellence, faith formation, and the mission of Catholic education.

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based mathematics instruction for sixth-grade students. Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and growth. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Utilize data to inform instruction and monitor student progress. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success and school initiatives. Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the classroom environment.

Participate in school events, professional development, faculty meetings, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for middle school mathematics. Strong content knowledge in mathematics and effective instructional practices. Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Experience teaching middle school students preferred. Commitment to the mission and philosophy of Catholic education. Must successfully complete or maintain VIRTUS certification and all Diocese of Cleveland requirements.
