Director of Next Generation Ministries

Position SummaryThe Director of Next Generation Ministries provides leadership and oversight for CrossPointe Students and CrossPointe 20s (Young Adult Ministry). This individual will help lead the next generation to connect and commit to Jesus by developing biblically grounded ministries that emphasize discipleship, evangelism, spiritual growth, and meaningful involvement in the life of the church.
While this is not initially a pastoral position, CrossPointe Church views this role as a key spiritual leadership position within the church. Therefore, the ideal candidate must meet the biblical qualifications for an elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9. Following a period of faithful ministry, evaluation, and elder affirmation, the right candidate may be recognized as an elder of CrossPointe Church.
The Director of Next Generation Ministries must demonstrate spiritual maturity, theological soundness, leadership ability, relational warmth, organizational skill, and a clear passion for discipling students and young adults.
Primary Responsibilities CrossPointe Students (Middle School & High School)- Provide leadership and oversight for all student ministries.
- Plan, organize, and lead weekly student gatherings, Bible studies, discipleship opportunities, retreats, camps, and special events.
- Teach and communicate God’s Word faithfully, clearly, and practically.
- Build intentional relationships with students and parents.
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of adult volunteers and student leaders.
- Create a ministry culture centered on biblical truth, discipleship, evangelism, and spiritual maturity.
- Coordinate ministry calendars, communication, and events with church staff and leadership.
- Ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming ministry environment.
- Lead and oversee the young adult ministry for individuals approximately ages 18–29.
- Develop environments that encourage biblical community, discipleship, accountability, and service.
- Plan and lead Bible studies, fellowship events, outreach opportunities, and discipleship gatherings.
- Help young adults transition into faithful long-term involvement in the broader life of the church.
- Provide biblical encouragement, guidance, mentorship, and discipleship to young adults navigating college, careers, relationships, marriage, and spiritual growth.
- Support and advance the mission and vision of CrossPointe Church.
- Work closely with church staff and leadership to ensure ministry alignment and effective communication.
- Participate in church-wide ministry efforts, outreach initiatives, and special events.
- Maintain regular office hours and consistent communication with staff, volunteers, students, young adults, and parents.
- Oversee ministry communication through email, social media, text communication, and other approved platforms.
- Manage ministry budgets, calendars, registrations, and event planning as assigned.
- Maintain a visible, approachable, and engaged presence within the life of the church.
- Perform pastoral ministry responsibilities as assigned, including discipleship, counseling, teaching, visitation, and other ministry opportunities appropriate to the role.
- Must meet the biblical qualifications for an elder outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
- Must demonstrate a growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must affirm and support the doctrinal beliefs and ministry philosophy of CrossPointe Church.
- Must be committed to personal holiness, faithful church membership, and servant leadership.
- Must model Christlike character, humility, integrity, and spiritual maturity.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Formal theological training is required.
- Experience in student ministry, young adult ministry, or church leadership preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to teach by expositing Scripture effectively.
- Strong relational, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers.
