Program Coordinator, Student Success, UC Clermont College
The Student Success Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Student Success, is responsible for administering the scholarship program at the University of Cincinnati Clermont College and providing direct student counseling and support to promote academic success, retention, and graduation.
Approximately fifty percent of the position is dedicated to scholarship administration, including the management of scholarship applications, eligibility review, award processing, donor stewardship, and reporting. The remaining fifty percent focuses on counseling and supporting students from the broader student population, with particular attention to first-generation students, students with financial need, and other historically underserved populations.
This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of scholarship administration, financial aid principles, academic policies, student records, and university support services. Experience in financial aid administration is strongly preferred.
The Student Success Coordinator serves as a key resource for students navigating scholarship opportunities, financial aid considerations, academic progress, and barriers to persistence. The Coordinator collaborates with campus departments and community partners to ensure effective scholarship management and coordinated student support services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Knowledge of scholarship administration, student financial aid principles, academic advising, student records, and student retention strategies.
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations, institutional policies, and best practices in higher education.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Data analysis and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with student information systems and scholarship management software.
Required
Education:
Bachelor's Degree. Five (5) years of
Required Experience:
One (1) year of experience in scholarship administration, financial aid, academic advising, student services, or a related higher education field.
Additional Qualifications Considered:
Experience in higher education financial aid administration. Experience using Scholarship Universe. Knowledge of satisfactory academic progress (SAP) policies. Experience working with first-generation and financially vulnerable student populations.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
