Music Instructor Position
Teach courses in music as assigned by the department chair. Responsibilities include developing and submitting course syllabi, planning and updating curriculum, delivering engaging instruction, assessing student performance, and submitting grades in accordance with university deadlines. Regular communication with students, support departmental goals, and collaborate with faculty colleagues to foster a dynamic learning environment.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.

Minimum Qualifications:
At least a bachelor's degree in music; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in music. Documented experience teaching music at the college level.
Physical Requirements:
In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
