Geneva Area City Schools has immediate openings for substitute teachers on an as needed basis. Individuals must hold a Bachelor's degree and possess a regular teaching license or substitute teaching license from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Complete and pass BCI & FBI background checks. Substitute rate of pay is $140.00/day. You must have current BCI and FBI background checks.
If you do not, please contact the Ashtabula County Educational Service Center at to schedule an appointment to have them completed. The cost is $60 for both. If you do not already have an OHID account, you must create one using the link below: (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Once you have created an OHID account, click on the App Store and add the Educator Licensure and Records (CORE) app.
Apply for the substitute teaching license that you qualify for:
Click on Apply for a NEW credential then click on Substitutes. From the dropdown list choose the appropriate license and apply. The Geneva City School District IRN that you will need to enter for signature is #044057. The cost is $25. After your license is issued, please submit a copy to the Board Office.
