Job DescriptionThe Lawrence County Joint Vocational School District is seeking a full-time Math Teacher for Collins Career Technical Center. This position teaches math to high school students and connects math skills to career-technical programs. The teacher will work with career academy staff to support student learning, career goals, and academic growth. The Math Teacher will develop lessons, use effective teaching strategies, support students with IEPs, and follow state and local education standards.
The successful candidate should be student-centered, flexible, and willing to work as part of a team. Suggested Clifton Strengths for this role:

Responsibilities:
- Teach math courses aligned with Ohio learning standards.
- Develop and deliver lessons that are clear, engaging, and connected to career-technical fields.
- Work with career academy staff to connect academic content to student career goals.
- Use classroom technology, labs, demonstrations, and hands-on activities to support student learning.
- Follow all safety procedures for math instruction and lab activities.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs as required.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom.
- Communicate with students, families, staff, and supervisors in a professional manner.
- Attend staff meetings, team meetings, and professional development.
- Complete all required training assigned by the district.
- Follow district policies, administrative rules, Board directives, and legal requirements.
- Support the mission and educational goals of the Lawrence County Joint Vocational School District.
- Contribute to district marketing and communication efforts, including social media or content sharing, following district procedures.
- Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid Ohio teaching license in Math. Knowledge of math content and curriculum design. Ability to support IEP implementation and follow federal, state, and local education standards. Meets all health requirements mandated by law. Successfully passes BCI/FBI background check as required by Board policy. - Bachelor degree preferred.
