Vocational Training at the University of Hohenheim

Stuttgart's oldest university:
The University of Hohenheim, located south of the city at the gateway to the Filder Plain, is unique in its strong specialization. Hohenheim is Germany's leading university in agricultural research and food sciences, as well as strong and unparalleled in natural, social, and communication sciences.

This innovative place employs about 2,500 people in a wide range of occupations who create the technical and administrative foundation for Hohenheim's scientists to excel. Highly qualified employees provide the basis for the University to master challenging tasks in studies, teaching, and research.

That is why the University of Hohenheim offers a diverse range of vocational training opportunities. Interested candidates can choose from 12 training occupations in scientific, technical, and administrative fields. Depending on the occupational field, practical training takes place in workshops, laboratories, libraries, research stations, and Institute offices, as well as in the central administration. Trainees complete their theoretical work at various vocational schools as part of Germany's dual system of vocational training.

• German at a C1 (advanced) level. All vocational training at the University of Hohenheim takes place entirely in German. Your German must already be at this level upon applying.
