Overview
Adjunct Faculty position in Industrial Electricity at Terra State Community College located in Fremont, OH. Salary: $29.00 hourly. This is an adjunct teaching role serving multiple semesters.
Position SummaryADJUNCT FACULTY - Industrial Electrical. Engages students in the teaching/learning process and teaches courses that may include Basic Electricity, AC/DC Machines, Electrical Prints and Troubleshooting, PLC, VFD and Servo Systems, and Motor/Process Controls. Works the assigned schedule.
Responsibilities- Deliver curriculum for the Electricity:
Power and Controls degree and certificates. - Plan and teach courses that fulfill current curriculum goals and objectives.
- Remain current with subject matter and instructional methodology.
- Employ appropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance and achievement of course goals.
- Communicate progress to students in a timely manner.
- Determine and submit students’ grades in accordance with college policies and procedures.
- May assist with student advising.
- May develop and maintain syllabi.
- Support the mission of the program, division, and College.

- Associate’s degree in Industrial Electricity or related field required.
- Five years’ work experience in the electrical field.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
- Proficient in word processing, presentation software, internet, and e-mail.
- Proficient in Learning Management Systems.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of students.
- Capability to teach in more than one discipline.
- Experience advising students.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a combination of days/evening/weekend schedules.
