Medical Laboratory Technology Instructional Assistant

• Provide instruction and remediation to students in the laboratory setting in support of program faculty and program curriculum.
• Assist lead faculty in classroom instruction of specialized content.
• Provide individual and group tutoring in support of program faculty and program curriculum
• Develop and prepare competency/practical testing in laboratory
• Grade competency/practical testing and lab exercises.
• Perform student evaluations in conjunction with lead instructor
• Collaborate with lead instructors to develop new lab activities to keep program current in the field.

• A minimum of an associate's degree of science degree in Medical Technology.
• Current MLT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) certification
• Minimum of three years of hospital clinical laboratory experience.
• Experience in most (all) areas of the lab and prior teaching experience at post-secondary level a plus.
