Olentangy Schools is seeking qualified candidates for multiple English Learners (EL, ELL and/or ESL) positions available for the 2026-27 school year. This position will help students learn subject matters and skills that will facilitate maximum learning experiences and contribute to their development as mature, capable and responsible adults; create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students;

guide the learning process toward the achievement of curricular goals.

Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible to hold valid and appropriate licensure (i.e., a TESOL K-12 license or TESOL endorsement) for each position with the Ohio State Department of Education and Workforce.

Employment status:
Certified, full-time, 185-day employment contract

Qualifications for the position include:

• Valid and appropriate Ohio teaching certificate/license
• Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university
• Alternative to the above qualifications as Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate

Essential functions for the position include, but is not limited to:

• Ensure the safety of students
• Prepare clear and timely lesson plans
  
  Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter and present clear, complete, and accurate explanations utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and media suitable to the level of the learners
• Follow the scope and sequence of the instructional program as defined in the board approved maps
• Observe ethics of the teaching profession
