Position: Certified Nurses Assistant Program Manager Location: Logan, OH
Job : 974 # of Openings: 1 Certified Nursing Assistant Program Manager Salary: $60,000

Under the guidance and direction of the Dean, the Program Manager manages the CNA program. The program Manager leads both independent project management and collaborative efforts with the Dean to manage the CNA program; create schedules; report to the State of Ohio; manage student exam preparation and registration; create, maintain, and process materials associated with the CNA program; teaches classes each semester of the year;

prepares and administers program budget with faculty input; leads program review and accreditation efforts; and supervises faculty assigned to teach courses within the program. The Program Manager will also coordinate all related processes related to the program such as placement testing, file completion and accreditation requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities COORDINATES THE CNA PROGRAM:

Obtain and maintain accreditation and required compliance. Develop and maintain community relations. Develop and manage an Advisory Board. Schedules the classes and sites.

PROVIDES INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES:

Develop the CNA program course outcomes and curriculum which are consistent with Academic Affairs, department, and CNA program goals. Maintain state‑mandated required classroom, lab, and clinical hours. Convey course outcomes and expectations to students according to college policy. Organize and manage instructional activities. Use appropriate learner‑centered instructional methods. Provide evaluation methods appropriate to stated outcomes. Evaluate student learning in a fair manner.

Post and maintain sufficient office hours compatible with student schedules. Maintain accurate records of evaluation and course work including attendance. Submit grades as required and on time. Regularly seeks feedback on course delivery and student learning. Participate in college evaluation system of instructional services. Revise/update courses regularly. May teach nursing courses when necessary as dictated by the college.

PERFORMS STUDENT ACADEMIC ADVISING

ACTIVITIES:

Assist with the recruitment and placement of CNA students and other Hocking College students. Encourage students’ involvement in the advising process. Maintain sufficient advising hours compatible with student schedules. Meet with advisees at least twice per semester and as often as needed. Advise students having difficulty in class/clinical work. Maintain appropriate advisee files. Direct students to appropriate department and College resources.

Maintain confidentiality;
Periodically evaluates completions and registration for state testing.

ENGAGES IN CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN BOTH TEACHING AND CNA THEORY AND PRACTICE:

Formulate and implement goals for growth. Identify own professional development needs consistent with the mission of the College, Academic Affairs, and department. Maintain or attain appropriate certification, licensure, or credentialing. Seek appropriate resources to meet goals for continuous improvement. Participate in department, Academic Affairs, and College faculty / staff development programs and meetings.

PROACTIVELY IDENTIFY AND IMPLEMENT METHODS FOR PUBLICIZING AND PROMOTING THE ACTIVITIES OF THE SCHOOL OF HEALTH AND SAFETY:
