STUDENT COUNCIL ADVISOR — GRADES 9–12
Rossford Exempted Village Schools is seeking a Student Council Advisor for grades 9–12 for the 2026–2027 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an advisor, mentor, and positive role model for Student Council members in grades 9–12.
- Provide guidance and support to Student Council officers and representatives while promoting student leadership, responsibility, and participation.
- Facilitate Student Council meetings and assist students in establishing goals, agendas, and priorities.
- Work collaboratively with students to plan, organize, and implement activities and events for the high school student body.
- Coordinate and supervise Student Council-sponsored fundraisers, dances, spirit activities, service projects, and other school-wide events.
- Support students in developing leadership, organization, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
- Encourage student involvement and provide opportunities for students to share ideas and represent the interests of the student body.
- Coordinate Student Council activities with building administration and other student organizations as appropriate.
- Ensure activities, events, and fundraisers are conducted in accordance with district and building procedures.
- Maintain appropriate records related to Student Council activities and funds.
- Attend and supervise meetings, activities, dances, fundraisers, and other Student Council events, including those occurring outside the regular school day.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with serving as Student Council Advisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with high school students preferred.
- Ability to establish positive, appropriate, and professional relationships with students.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise activities involving students in grades 9–12.
- Ability to guide students while encouraging student ownership, leadership, and accountability.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to follow through on commitments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, administration, families, and community members.
- Availability to attend meetings, dances, fundraisers, and other activities outside the regular school day.
- Ability to appropriately manage funds and follow district procedures related to fundraising and student activities.
- Must meet all applicable district employment requirements, including required background checks.
