This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Candidates will be interviewed and hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.

Job Description:

Description:

  • Teaches software testing Quality Assurance (QA) courses for the new Programming and Development (QA Concentration) degree.
  • Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
  • Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
  • Evaluates and grades students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinations
  • Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines
  • Be available to students for coaching
  • Periodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and development

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or a related field or 5+ years’ experience as a Software Tester
  • Willingness to learn and/or have experience in the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid and/or distance learning classes
  • Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
  • Appropriately responds to the needs of the community

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or a related field
  • 2+ years industry/business experience in computer technology
  • Hands-on experience testing in one or more of these areas:
    Web UI, Native App, Web API, Scripting, Load/Stress, Utilities
  • Experience with both manual and automation testing
