Electrical Engineering, Field/Service Technician, Power Plant / Engineering, Electricity Generation
Ethos Energy is seeking an Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Technician (IC&E) to join our dynamic team at the South Filed Energy Center, a 1185 mw combined-cycle gas turbine facility in Wellsville, Ohio. Each block consists of one GE 7HA.02 Gas turbine with a GE H65 generator outputting 26 kV with a capacity of 350 MW. The exhaust from the gas turbine supplies a fired, reheat, three pressure unit of natural circulation, with horizontal gas path designed GE T212B1 HRSG.
The steam from the HRSG provides the motive force for the three-stage GE D652 Steam turbine which turns the GE 324 generator outputting 18 kV with a capacity of 251 MW. Each generator’s power goes through its respective isophase, step up transformers, and SF6 breakers to provide 345 kV to the common generator leads that tie into the Hibbitts Mill Road – Wellsville substation.
There are two auxiliary transformers that provide power to the site. They are connected between the Gas turbine 52G breakers and the GSUs for each block providing 6.9 kV for each block and common electrical needs. Additionally, there is one standby emergency diesel generator which is a Caterpillar 3512C 1500 kW supplying 480 V to the plant essential equipment. This is your opportunity to take ownership in a critical IC&E role on a day shift schedule and make an impact where reliability and innovation meet.
Qualified applicants must have 5+ years as an IC&E Technician in a power plant or similar environment.
