Position Summary:
This position is responsible for driving communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are executed at a high level. The person in this role is expected to carry out essential functions in a manner that reflects the core values of providing Reliable, Respectful, and Responsible Engineering and Technical Services.
- Project Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of solutions. Understand and deliver to stakeholder needs and objectives.
- Plan, track and manage project budgets, scopes of work, schedules, and tasks. Generate accurate and timely reports on project status, progress, and issues throughout the project.
- Develop and execute project planning, project kick-offs, client loading and scheduling, tracking project budgets, hours, travel, and expenses.
- Prepare customer readiness checklists, project buy-off documents for all phases, and track commercial aspects like PO's, invoices, change-orders, etc.
- Establish metrics for assessing project success.
- Conduct lessons learned meetings at the end of each system's project.
- Use preferred software and other tools to successfully manage projects. Ensure management content is centrally located and accessible by key stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the entire project life.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Keep projects on track both in timing and budget.
- Manage resource allocation of installations and capacity planning.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and/or contractors for successful project execution.
- Implement and optimize project management workflows.
- Provide on-site project management at customer facilities as necessary for successful implementation of systems and to ensure satisfied customers.
- Stakeholder & Communication Alignment
- Communicate project priorities and timelines to leadership and stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical execution.
- Collaborate with engineering manager, QA, manufacturing/service, and admin teams.
- Ensure customer needs and feedback are considered in project execution.
- Monitor and report progress, risks, and milestones.
- Work directly with team members and customers to assess project requirements throughout the entire project life.
- Collaborate with the sales team on cost estimates and quoting new projects.
- At least 3 years of experience managing complex projects involving the development of a product, installation, and management of contractors at a customer facility.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- PMP certification is a plus.
