Construction Project Engineer

A Poynter Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and analysis of either a single major project or a portfolio of several smaller projects. By utilizing and understanding the policies, methods, and procedures of Project Controls Best Practices this position will contribute to the completion of a project on time, on budget, and a quality that meets or exceeds the client's expectations, helping to ensure the company's success and establishment of a loyal customer.

• Assist in initial project set up, short term planning and overall project scheduling duties
• Prepare cost break down for quantity progress tracking for projects
• Evaluate physical progress monitoring. May require assisting project with process
• Prepare and verify submittals
• Verify required purchased equipment
• Evaluate and project changes and prepare comparisons
• Prepare close-out documents.
• Assist with technology training

• Education:
  
  Accredited four (4) year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or other related field
• 0-3 years relevant work experience in the construction industry

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work in team environment
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Organizational and planning skills

Work is normally performed on a jobsite.

Due to varied conditions, workers must know the hazards and safety requirements of each job and must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies for every situation.

Travel and/or temporary, periodic relocation may be necessary
