Job Description

Your responsibilities

  • Partner with R&I and PLM to capture product extensions and new developments and translate them into clear functional and data specifications for the Selection Software and its database.
  • Maintain and refine documentation for selection processes, limitations, and configuration rules for HX64/65.
  • Take full ownership of the data‑update process: download data from Select PHE staging (Access format), convert or adjust as needed, and provide updated data packages—including pricing—to the development team.
  • Manage and control interfaces with CPQ and SAP‑VC to ensure seamless system integration and consistent data across platforms.
  • Review developments in staging systems, conduct testing and UAT, and verify correct calculation results for selected units.
  • Investigate user‑reported findings and bugs related to data and rules, prepare fixes, and propose improvements.
  • Coordinate data‑quality governance with Product Development and resolve discrepancies using Azure Dev Ops work items.
  • Coordinate data updates to reflect new products, new options, and regional variations.
  • Contribute to calculation and configuration logic improvements and align them with ongoing Select PHE feature developments.
  • Provide first‑level user support for selection, calculation, and template‑related questions; maintain FAQs and quick user guides.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and Admin Core Data rights to ensure compliance with access and security policies.
  • Contribute to budget estimations for software development and maintenance within the defined scope.
  • Hold responsibility for timeline management and delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Support the handover of software to maintenance teams to ensure smooth long‑term operations and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure high‑quality data administration of the Select PHE platform and contribute to overall system performance.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering, or equivalent technical knowledge gained through practical experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of product configuration, pricing logic, and database management.
  • Experience working in agile software or product development environments.
  • Knowledge of software/application design principles and a strong technical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in product configuration and database administration, ideally in an engineering or industrial software environment.
  • Strong ability to work with databases (e.g., Access) and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Experience using Azure Dev Ops or similar systems for work tracking and collaboration.
  • Fluent in English; an additional language is a plus.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex data and configuration logic.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly to different stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, team‑oriented mindset combined with independence and responsibility in daily tasks.
  • A proactive problem‑solver with structured working habits and high reliability.
