System Engineer

Sonit Systems is an employee-owned technology solutions company headquartered in Archbold, OH. We provide IT services and support to a diverse customer base throughout Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with excellent technical and communication skills to join our team. As a Systems Engineer, you will have a wide range of responsibilities and engage with our clients to support all aspects of their IT environments, including networking and security, server and storage installation and support, configuration and management of cloud environments, and backup and disaster recovery.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and security for our clients.
• Install, configure, and support servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
• Microsoft domain administration, and implement and support Microsoft 365 technologies and cloud solutions.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to our clients.
• Maintain knowledge and expertise by learning new and evolving technologies and by achieving appropriate industry and professional certifications.

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience and certifications.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience and knowledge in the following: network routing, cybersecurity, WAN, LAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, servers, and cloud environments - specifically Microsoft 365.
• Experience implementing and supporting SAN storage, virtualization technologies, Microsoft AD domain environments and Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Proven customer service and problem-solving skills working remotely and on site with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
