Job Summary
Full time-Direct hire Quality Metallurgist for a client local to the Delta, OH area. Client is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer with a metals background with prior experience working on the plant floor. Bachelors degree related to Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering. Responsibilities- Investigate current production and quality problems, determine appropriate solutions, and make recommendations for correction.
- Verify quality practices and product reliability both internally and externally.
- Conduct quality meetings with operating and quality assurance personnel and initiate and monitor Statistical Process Control programs[MJ1].
- Assist operations and make recommendations that will increase production or reduce costs.[MJ2]
- Make recommendations for new or developed technology that will improve quality and/or be cost effective.
- Maintain appropriate records of programs and compile technical reports pertaining to quality investigations and activities.
- Investigate causes of process failure and present findings to senior facility management.
- Participate in the suspension and operation of the labs to maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 lab standard.
- Establish, maintain, and monitor standard operating procedures.
- Work in a smoke free environment.
- Wear steel toe shoes.
- Work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
- Stand for 4 hours at a time.
- Experience level:
Experienced - Minimum 1 year of experience

Bachelors (required)
