Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio. Beehive is committed to grow and advance the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role can be remote but would prefer this person to live close to our Loveland, Ohio or Englewood, Colorado facilities.

What You'll Do...

• Work with engineers to execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of turbo machinery components and assemblies using sound engineering principles while meeting industry standards and program requirements
• Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerancestackups, and electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, and assembly. Provide quality checks toeliminateinterferences and to ensure interface requirements are met. Ensure drawings and models are managed consistent with industry standards for configuration management
• Perform “reverse engineering” by using scan data and creating new part models using parametric modeling
• Ensure product designs follow standards for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Support design reviews and collaborate with other disciplines in design, performance, controls, and system integration
• Providetimelycommunications on significant issues or developments
• Participate in the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design. Advise on ways to improve product design through the exploitation of additive manufacturing
• Role will initially be an individual contributor comfortable working in a dynamic self-directed start-up environment. As the organization grows, this role willbe responsible forscaling design capability to supportadditionalprojects which will likely includesome future team leadership. Being able to grow leadership capabilities with the role will be critical
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated consistent with engineering best practices

You have...

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Design from an accredited university or college
• At least 6 years of experience in design of gas turbine components
• Experience with handling 3D scan data and creating parametric models based on re-interpreted scan data
• System level CAD model, parametric modeling, and PLM/PDM experience
• Experience working with additive manufacturing technologies and familiarity with design for additive manufacturing principles
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Passion for additive technology and willingness to challenge current design limitations to further exploit the benefits of additive capability
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills
• Proven self-starter and quick learner who can work in fast-paced cross-functional teams
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S.Citizenship is required, as only U.S.Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
