Operations Manager, Environmental Compliance

Join us in this role whereyou’llplay a vital role in promoting andmaintaininghigh standards for quality, health, safety, and environment (QHSE) within our offshore operations. You will work closely with a diverse, collaborative team to ensure legal compliance, lead incident management, and foster a proactive safety culture across multiple offshore wind farms. You’ll be part ofthe GER Hub QHSE teamwhere you, together with your colleagues, willwork on a 14-days-on, 14-days-off offshore rotation, collaborating closely with operational teams on our service operation vessels and across six German offshore wind farms.
You’llbe responsible for driving our QHSE culture, supporting legal compliance, and ensuring continuous improvement in safety and quality practices.

You’llplayan important rolein:
- promoting and maintaining site QHSE culture by implementing and upholding relevant processes, procedures, and instructions, including the Ørsted management system
- leading the update and follow-up of incident reporting tools, supporting local stakeholders and performing first-line quality checks on cases
- conducting investigations and root cause analyses for incidents, document findings, and ensure effective feedback to technicians and stakeholders
- supporting legal compliance with German HSE requirements and contribute to the execution of quality tasks, such as inspections and audits, in line with the QHSE organization’s activity plan
- preparing and participating in drills and emergency response exercises in collaboration with operational managers and teams
- engaging in toolbox talks, back-to-work briefings, end-of-shift meetings, and cross-site QHSE meetings, ensuring knowledge sharing and lessons learned
To succeed in the role, you:
- demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to present subject-matter topics in a clear, professional, and accessible manner
- have experience in QHSE functions within offshore wind, oil & gas, or comparable industries, ideally with exposure to German HSE regulations.
- have strong understanding of German QHSE legal frameworks, management systems and incident investigation methodologies
- are fluent in both German and English, orally and in writing.
