Our client is a global manufacturing company with operations in Belpre, OH. They are seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer for plant operations.

• Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting rotating equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Lead investigations into the root causes of rotating equipment failures.
• Source and select new and replacement rotating equipment that is appropriate for its intended application.
• Ensure that techniques and materials used to repair and maintain rotating equipment are appropriate for their intended applications.
• Help develop the maintenance strategy for critical rotating equipment.
• Develop the scope of work for critical rotating equipment during turnaround.
• Promote safe working conditions; ensure compliance with all safety related policies, procedures, and rules.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required. A degree in mechanical engineering is strongly preferred; however, degrees in other relevant technical disciplines may be considered with experience.
• Three to five years of experience managing maintenance in a chemical plant, refinery, smelter, mining operation, or similar heavy manufacturing environment are required; some of this experience may have been acquired as a maintenance engineer, maintenance planner, reliability engineer, or similar capacity.
• Expert level knowledge of common mechanical process equipment design.
• Advanced understanding of how centrifugal pumps, hydraulic systems, blowers, compressors of various designs function is essential for success in this role.
• Experience with the operation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas fired boilers is a strong plus.
• Advanced skills in SAP are required for success in this role, in particular proficiency with the maintenance planning materials management modules.
