Location: Raymond
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic automotive team based in Raymond, OH. This hybrid role is open to both local candidates and individuals willing to relocate. The ideal candidate will bring strong 3D design expertise and a solid engineering background to support the development of innovative automotive components and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop complex 3D models, layouts, and drawings using CATIA V6
- Evaluate styling feasibility and support design optimization efforts
- Perform cost analysis, strength calculations, and material selection
- Support part design and construction from concept through production
- Coordinate activities related to prototyping, fabrication, and manufacturing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and requirements
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V6 (candidates with strong CATIA V5 experience must have some exposure to V6)
- Proficiency in 3D design and modeling
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with automotive development processes and timelines
- Background in automotive electrical systems or interior components
- Mechanical or electrical engineering background with applied design experience
