Test Engineer – Automotive Infotainment (Audio & RF Systems)
Location: Raymond, OH
Pay Rate: $42.85 – $47.40/hr.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) required
Position Type: Contract
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer (Level
2) to support automotive infotainment hardware development within a leading engineering center. This role focuses on testing and validating audio systems and RF reception components used in next-generation vehicle infotainment platforms.
- Develop test plans, procedures, and specifications for audio and RF hardware systems
- Execute validation testing for components such as amplifiers, speakers, AM/FM/XM antennas
, and related infotainment hardware - Set up test equipment, configure data parameters, and ensure accurate test execution
- Analyze test results to evaluate performance, identify failures, and assess design feasibility
- Document and summarize test outcomes in technical reports and formal presentations
- Recommend design improvements and corrective actions based on test data
- Collaborate with suppliers on requirements, validation, and compliance review
- Support issue resolution during validation, production, and field feedback stages
- Ensure all testing meets internal standards, performance targets, and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
- 3–6 years of test engineering experience in electronics, RF, or automotive systems
- Strong understanding of test development, execution, and data analysis
- Experience with RF, audio systems, or electronics validation preferred (automotive experience not required)
- Ability to interpret engineering requirements and technical documentation
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional engineering teams
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and perform hands‑on testing activities
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in a technical lab and test environment
- Onsite role (~80% onsite required)
- Limited travel (1–2 times per year)
- Training provided for company-specific systems and processes
