Job Summary

The role involves construction, building, and commissioning of Power Transformer installations on customer sites, including mobilization, civil, erection, and commissioning work, along with related management activities.

Your Mission

Lead the technical portion of Power Transformer site installation and commissioning across global locations, support customers in different countries, and ensure project success.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities

EHS & Quality Oversight – Implement, monitor, record, and report EHS performance in line with GEV standards; prepare and issue site documentation such as RAMS, NCRs, and TQs; maintain on‑site erection and commissioning records and quality documentation according to GEV quality plans.

Construction Planning & Coordination – Supervise installation and testing activities, including unloading, erection, oil filtration, cabling, and testing; manage daily operations of technicians, electricians, and field crews; coordinate outage schedules, manpower, equipment, tools, and materials; verify workmanship quality and adherence to specifications; interface with customers, engineers, project managers, vendors, and internal departments.

Design & Data Readiness – Ensure that “Good for Construction” drawings and required data for site documentation are available alongside the project team.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting – Monitor contractor work progress, publish progress reports, and provide key inputs for monthly project reports to the Site Management Team.

Risk & Opportunity Management – Identify and manage risks and opportunities related to construction and commissioning activities; drive continuous improvement in safety, productivity, reliability, and quality.

Your Profile

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification with 5–10 years of experience in Power Transformer installation, testing, or field service management. Must understand electrical schematics, resource scheduling, and health and safety standards, with solid knowledge of international construction standards and environmental legislation. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are required. English is required;
German is a plus. A proactive mindset and willingness to travel frequently across Europe or globally (including Dubai, Singapore, or Indonesia) are essential.

Additional Information

Position is 100% construction‑site based; frequent travel across Europe and potentially Dubai, Singapore, or Indonesia. The role is not remote.
