Are you passionate about mechanical engineering and the role it plays in shaping and transforming the world we live in? Are you looking to share that passion with a new generation of engineers in a Christ-centered learning environment? If so, then we want to talk to you!

The Cedarville University School of Engineering and Computer Science invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering. The Mechanical Engineering Program comprises nine full-time faculty, over three-hundred undergraduate students, and dedicated facilities in areas of manufacturing, rapid prototyping, automotive, and aerospace engineering. Our rigorous program offers rich learning opportunities and cultivates technical professionals who are committed to excellence in character, conduct, and skill.

Cedarville University presents a unique faculty opportunity to invest in the lives of students both inside and outside of the classroom, focusing on the development of the whole person in addition to technical training.

Faculty candidates are currently sought with expertise in thermal and fluid sciences, aerospace design, experimental methods, or materials engineering. Highly qualified candidates whose expertise lies in other associated areas of mechanical engineering may also be considered. Industry experience in one or more of these areas is considered highly desirable. Given our program's emphasis on developing applied skills through lab-based and project-based learning, demonstrated experience in practical application and design implementation is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success in educational, mentorship, and training contexts will also be highly regarded.

Strong candidates may be considered for appointment at the Professor level. Rank and compensation are commensurate with experience and credentials.

The School of Engineering and Computer Science is housed in a modern facility with extensive state-of-the-art laboratories.
