Responsible for design assembly processes for products. Perform the research and implement new technologies necessary to tackle complex assembly and automation problems that have direct impact on the quality and production of products. Ensure production's stability and efficiency.

• Design, verify, and install tooling and fixtures based on project progress, timeline, and budget; ensure new tooling is effective for the specific project.
• Draft, revise, update, and keep records of all tooling/fixture work instructions.
• Provide direction and mentorship to third‑party machine/automation suppliers and CM’s; act as the technical leader and driver on owned projects; serve as a technical resource to other engineering groups and project leaders.
• Organize cross‑functional reviews of machine requirements, design, qualification, and capability.
• Travel to machine suppliers and contract manufacturers for equipment bring‑up, qualification, acceptance testing, and support during build events.
• Research and develop new automated cells based on current manufacturing process standards to increase production efficiency, reduce quality issues, and minimize cost.
• Coordinate between third‑party machine/automation suppliers and internal installation/integration teams through planning, installation, and integration of new automated cells.
• Design and develop technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency. Utilize statistical tools (e.g., GR&R, SPC, Cp/CpK) to ensure processes/fixtures are reliable and maintain performance after qualification.
• Provide ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products can be manufactured with existing or new equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• English proficiency required; bilingual ability (e.g., Mandarin) is a plus.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in machine design, manufacturing, automation, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong technical skills in 3D modeling and CAD (UG, Catia, Solid Works).
• Proficient in tooling/fixture installation, troubleshooting, robot cell design, robot programming, PLC, and vision programming.
• Knowledge of programming and familiarity with office software, basic network operations, email communication.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
• Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to changing situations.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, turn at the waist, reach, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs; meet static strength requirements.
• Vision requirements: clarity at 20 inches or less for detailed work; clarity at 20 feet or more for far‑acuity tasks; 3‑dimensional vision for judging distances.
• Safety awareness: use safety glasses, hearing protection, steel‑toed work boots; ability to meet noise level and other safety requirements.
• Communication, interpersonal, analysis, and judgment skills; ability to guide technicians and facilitate training.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technology, especially assembly processes, tempered and laminated glasses, and major quality and environmental systems.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
