Buyer - Engineering and Prototype Procurement

• Source and procure raw materials, components, prototype parts, equipment, machinery, and supplies to support engineering and business operations
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and supplier terms to achieve the best overall value while maintaining quality and timing requirements
• Review and interpret CAD drawings and engineering documentation to support prototype and production purchasing activities
• Work closely with engineering, suppliers, logistics, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of purchased materials and components
• Manage supplier communications, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement documentation
• Utilize SAP to support purchasing transactions, supplier management, and reporting activities
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve delivery, quality, and supply chain issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes and supplier performance

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or buyer experience
• Experience purchasing automotive, engineering, prototype, or technical components
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and engineering documentation
• Strong SAP experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related business software
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering and development environment
• Ability to travel and work additional hours as required
